Manama, July 5 (BNA): Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam affirmed the strong historical Bahraini-British relations and their continuous development, especially in the financial, banking, economic and investment sectors. Under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He praised the results of the official visit to the United Kingdom by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which emphasized the strategic partnership and close relations.
The spokesman affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to continue developing cooperation with the United Kingdom, and to involve the private sector in building partnerships that pave the way for value-added projects and investments. In line with the royal directives, and in implementing the government’s program to achieve Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
He said that the visit reflects the importance of the two countries’ aspirations, which are based on historical relations dating back more than 200 years.
The Speaker of Parliament affirmed that Bahrain’s legislative and economic policies support strategic cooperation and partnership with the United Kingdom, stressing the Parliament’s keenness to support all efforts made to strengthen joint relations between the two countries.
He also highlighted the strong military and defense cooperation between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, which His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa supports. He pointed out that this strengthened the role of both Bahrain and the United Kingdom in maintaining regional peace and stability.
Al-Musallam praised the agreements and memorandums of understanding announced during the official visit, which will contribute to strengthening existing partnerships and strengthening the Bahraini economy in line with the economic recovery plan and the fiscal balance program.
