Tamkeen launches Kawader skills portal

Manama, July 16 (BNA): The Labor Fund (Tamkeen) launched the national skills portal “Kawader”, which targets job seekers, business owners and various institutions, in line with its priorities of enhancing the participation of local talents in advancing sustainable economic growth. in Bahrain.

With an initial focus on the ICT sector, the national database will help fill skills gaps in the market by connecting local talent with Bahrain job opportunities and potential opportunities through the Global Ready Talent Tamkeen programme. Future planning is underway to expand the portal to other major economic sectors in the future.

Kawader will provide stakeholders with access to skilled local talent in high-demand ICT disciplines through a single online platform, enabling potential employers to find the skills required to support the continued growth of this high-potential sector.

Maha Moves, CEO of the Labor Fund (Tamkeen), said that the launch of Kawader came in response to the growing demand for technical talents in the market.

“The portal aims to help match highly skilled local talent with potential employers looking to fill specialized roles, particularly in the field of information and communication technology, a fast-growing sector in the Kingdom, which is central to the success of many companies while also being an asset,” she added. main engine of the national economy.

“Kawadir will also help Bahrain’s talented technology professionals build rewarding career paths that leverage their skills, develop their talents, support their professional growth, and enable them to reach their full potential.”

She added that Kawader reflects Tamkeen’s commitment to empowering Bahrainis to become preferred employees in the labor market, in line with its main objectives. It also comes as part of a suite of initiatives designed to address skills gaps in emerging and key economic sectors.

As a key partner in advancing economic growth in the Kingdom, Tamkeen is hosting this initiative with the aim of supporting the private sector and the labor market. Since its inception, it has supported the empowerment of thousands of Bahrainis in obtaining professional certificates, and as part of its transformation, it has introduced 16 new programs, including the Global Ready Talent Program, which has so far allowed about 60 Bahrainis to train within 12 leading global companies in their international headquarters.

Individuals with technical skills and experience and ICT professionals can register for Kawader by creating a profile and uploading their CV, while companies can post relevant technical vacancies on the portal.
