MOI recovery programme wins Stevie International Award

Manama, Dec. 20 (BNA): The recovery programme to assist drug addicts, conducted by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Forensic Science, has won a bronze medal in the health category for the MENA region for the Stevie International Award.


Brigadier Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi, the Director-General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, congratulated General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Interior Minister on the milestone. He noted the role of the instructions of the minister in driving the success of the programme.


The programme is one of the outcomes of the National Plan to Combat Drugs and Psychotropic Substances. It applies innovative and modern approaches based on scientific methodology to help addicts.
