Manama, July 14 (BNA): Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani attended a reception hosted by French Ambassador to Bahrain Jerome Cauchard on the occasion of his country’s National Day (Bastille Day).
The meeting was also attended by a number of senior officials and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Bahrain.
In his speech at the ceremony, Dr. Al-Zayani expressed the appreciation of the Kingdom’s leadership, government and people for the distinguished long-term relations and cooperation between the two countries, under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Emmanuel Macron. Dr. Al-Zayani expressed the Kingdom’s pride in the strong relations of friendship and cooperation with France, adding that the Kingdom of Bahrain appreciates France’s positions in support of all efforts aimed at spreading peace, security and stability in the Middle East region, as well as Arab issues in international gatherings.
He also praised the ambassador for the tremendous efforts he made throughout his tenure, which contributed to strengthening bilateral relations and joint cooperation, wishing him continued success in his next diplomatic mission.
The ambassador expressed his thanks to the foreign minister for attending the embassy’s ceremony, noting that the cooperation and support he received from the kingdom’s government and officials greatly facilitated his diplomatic mission.
He praised the strong friendship between the two countries and peoples, wishing the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
