Government Hospitals Chief inspects new multiple sclerosis centre

Manama, July 16 (BNA): A modern multi-sclerosis center is scheduled to open in Muharraq Governorate.

The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) funded the medical facility, which is the first specialized and independent center of its kind to provide treatment for patients suffering from this disease.

Dr. Ahmed Mohamed, CEO of government hospitals, visited the center to take charge of the preparations for the opening.

He explained that the project is in line with the vision and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to develop the health infrastructure in the Kingdom of Bahrain. .

He praised the directives and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to support this vital sector.

Dr. Al-Ansari praised the efforts of the Supreme Council of Health, the Ministry of Works and government hospitals to promote health projects and implement strategic plans.

He praised the role played by the private sector as a major partner in supporting national efforts to achieve sustainable development and implement government projects.

The center includes 7 outpatient clinics, in addition to an MRI department, a physiotherapy department, a manual therapy department, private and public treatment rooms, a laboratory and a pharmacy, a scientific research center, an auditorium, medical warehouses, a service building, administrative offices and parking lots.
