HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives the 10th annual report of the NIHR

Manama, June 22 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received today the President of the National Institution for Human Rights, Eng. Ali Ahmad Al-Durazi in Gudaibiya Palace.

During the meeting, His Highness received the tenth annual report of the National Institution for Human Rights.

His Royal Highness affirmed that protecting and safeguarding human rights is a fundamental pillar of the comprehensive development of the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted the adoption of human rights initiatives in the Kingdom, adding that human rights are enshrined in the Constitution, the National Action Charter, and the Kingdom’s laws and legislation.

His Highness praised the role played by the National Institution for Human Rights in promoting and protecting human rights in the Kingdom, as stated in the report, wishing the Chairman and members of the Institution continued success in their endeavors.

For his part, M. said. Dr. Al-Derazi expressed his gratitude for meeting His Royal Highness, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and the commitment of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to the promotion of human rights in line with the development of the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty the King.

The meeting was also attended by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
