HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa attends the Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket: 13 July 2023

London, July 13 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, today attended the annual Bahrain Cup as part of the activities of the July Festival at Newmarket Racecourse. His Highness explained that this annual event continues to consolidate relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom and to enhance joint cooperation on a large scale.



Then His Highness presented the cups to the winners of the Bahrain Cup for each of the three rounds of the race. His Highness presented the Kingdom of Bahrain Cup for the month of July (Group 2) to His Highness Sheikh Sultan Al-Din bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, the owner of the winning horse in the Mohammedia race, after winning first place in the second race, under the supervision of His Highness. Trained by Cliff Cox and ridden by jockey Jim Crowley.

His Highness also presented the Princess of Wales Award (Group Two) sponsored by the Kingdom of Bahrain to Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the owner of the winning horse Israr, after winning first place in the fourth race, under the supervision of His Highness. Trainer J & T Gosden, led by jockey Jim Crowley.

His Highness presented the Bahrain Cup (Group C) to the representative of the Godolphin stable, Hamdan bin Sultan Al-Sabousi, the owner of the winning horse, Castle Way, after winning first place in the first race under the leadership of coach Charlie Appleby and his leaders.
