AGU signs MoU with RCQE to boost cooperation

Manama, Feb. 21 (BNA): Dr. Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, President of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr. Abdulrahman Ibrahim Al Medaires, Director General of the Regional Centre of Quality and Excellence in Education (RCQE), aimed at developing the partnership project, and encouraging and deepening future strategic cooperation between the two sides.

 

During the signing ceremony, the AGU President hailed the important step that will strengthen ties between the two parties in various fields, particularly in research, studies and training programmes associated with the quality and excellence of education and innovation.

 

He stated that the partnership with RCQE, one of the vital centres operating under the supervision of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), is a strategic move that will contribute to raising quality standards in education and keeping pace with ongoing developments.

 

Dr. Al Fuhaid emphasised that investing in the relationship between the two parties will result in a strong partnership leading to joint projects and initiatives.

 

He mentioned that the university is committed to utilising its capabilities and expertise in graduate studies, continuous education, training, consultations and serving the local and Gulf community to advance Gulf cadres across various sectors.

 

Dr. Al Medaires expressed the keenness to establish a partnership serving various fields related to research, studies and training programmes related to quality of education.

 

He highlighted the exchange of research, scientific materials, joint organisation of educational conferences and the launch of joint awards as some of the initiatives included in the MoU.

It is worth noting that the memorandum stipulated that the Arabian Gulf University Centre for Community Services, Consultancies, Training and Continuing Education (CSCTCE) would be the point of contact with the RCQE to facilitate communication and ensure the successful implementation of the agreement.

 

Dr. Fatima bint Ibrahim Al Ruwais, Assistant Director General of the RCQE, presented initiatives and projects of the centre, which focuses on proactive preparation for the future and contributing to achieving the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
