Manama, July 3 (BNA): The Governor of the Capital, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, stressed the importance of coordination and cooperation between all concerned government agencies to curb street vendors, in a way that contributes to protecting public health and the community environment.
He explained that during a meeting to discuss the issue of street vendors in a number of district areas, in the presence of various concerned officials.
He stressed the importance of intensifying inspection and oversight campaigns to address the issue of legal workers and to take the necessary legal measures.
The attendees also reviewed the monitoring and inspection mechanism and the measures taken against illegal workers, and discussed the regulatory and legal proposals that aim to enhance the monitoring process for the purpose of research and study.
