HH Shaikh Nasser chairs Bapco Energies’ board meeting

Manama, July 5 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bapco Energy Company, chaired today the company’s board meeting for the second quarter of this year.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser congratulated the members of the Board of Directors and Mark Thomas, CEO of Bapco Energy Group, on the successful launch of the “Bapco Energy” brand, which represents a landmark in the energy sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The energy transition in the Kingdom of Bahrain will pave the way for new investment opportunities through business innovation and strengthening strategic partnerships that support the national economy.

His Highness, in his speech to the Board of Directors, praised the company’s efforts in implementing the group’s transformation plan in line with the Kingdom’s decarbonization goals stipulated in the Economic Vision 2030, which prioritizes energy security, affordability and sustainability.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser highlighted the company’s role in transforming the energy sector in the Kingdom in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the aspirations of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

During the meeting, the CEO of Bapco Energy Group presented to the Board of Directors the latest developments and the ongoing transformation plans of the group. The report highlighted the progress of several strategic projects, including the Bapco Modernization Program (BMP) and exploration and production activities in the Kingdom by Tatweer Petroleum.

The Board of Directors has also adopted a set of policies and procedures designed to enhance productivity and foster innovation across the Group. These policies will enable Bapco Energy to adhere to the highest level of operations and implement best practices that make the group a leader in the energy sector.
