Labour Ministers meets US Ambassador

Manama, July 11 (BNA): Labor Minister Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan received US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Stephen Bondy.

The meeting discussed ways to develop continuous partnership in matters related to work.

Humaidan highlighted Bahrain’s efforts to develop labor market systems in line with the standards of the International Labor Organization, in a way that contributes to supporting workers’ rights and combating human trafficking.

The ambassador congratulated Bahrain for maintaining first place in the US State Department’s 2023 Trafficking in Persons Report (TIP), for the sixth consecutive year.

He praised Bahrain’s achievements and efforts in developing the labor market and protecting human rights.
