Manama, June 22 (BNA): Dr. Diana Abdul Karim Al-Jahrami, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, received Dr. Bradley Cook, President of the American University in Bahrain.
The Secretary General affirmed the Council’s interest in developing the outputs of education and scientific research in higher education institutions in the Kingdom.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation to develop the educational process and exchange experiences in the academic, scientific and research fields.
The two sides reviewed current opportunities and challenges in light of artificial intelligence and digitization of education, in addition to ways to enhance support for local and international students in Bahrain.
The President of the American University in Abu Dhabi briefed her on the plans to develop the academic programs offered by the university.
He praised the continuous progress achieved by Bahrain in the education sector.
Cook presented the Secretary-General with a copy of his book on educational theories, which provides a historical look at the contributions of Arab scholars in the field of teaching and learning.
