Deputy Prime Minister receives outgoing Indian Ambassador

Manama, June 11 (BNA): The Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, received today the outgoing Indian Ambassador to Bahrain, Piyush Shrivastav, and praised his efforts in supporting bilateral relations and expanding cooperation.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the steps of the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in following up His Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

“The Kingdom has always been, throughout its history, an oasis of pace and a beacon of freedom, tolerance and diversity,” he said.

He praised the long-standing relations and strategic cooperation between the two countries, and affirmed the joint commitment to developing investments.

The Indian ambassador expressed his thanks and gratitude for the support he found in Bahrain during his tenure, stressing the importance of continuing efforts to expand partnership, especially in the fields of trade, technology, information technology and food security.
