Coastguard patrols confiscate 719 kilos of illegally caught shrimps

Manama, June 11 (BNA): Coast Guard patrols confiscated 719 kilograms of illegally caught shrimp, as part of efforts to enforce the law and crack down on violators.

The Kingdom of Bahrain imposed a six-month ban on shrimp annually in designated marine areas during the period from February 1 to the end of July.

And the General Directorate of the Coast Guard announced, in a statement today, that legal measures are being taken against the violators, who will appear before the Public Prosecution Office to face charges.
