Foreign Minister praises Bahrain-UK longstanding ties

Manama, July 15 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, made a phone call today with British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, James Cleverly.

Dr. Al-Zayani expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s thanks and appreciation for the report issued by the British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), which raised the Kingdom from the list of priority countries in the field of human rights, which reflects the significant achievements made by the Kingdom in the field of human rights, within the framework of development. Great strides were led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He led the continuous cooperation between the governments of the two friendly countries in areas related to human rights developments in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He affirmed the Ministry’s firm commitment to enhancing joint political cooperation and coordination with the British Foreign Ministry and supporting joint efforts to enhance long-term relations to serve common interests.

He intelligently praised Bahrain’s achievements in the field of human rights, which reflect the wise national efforts in Bahrain, wishing the Kingdom more progress and prosperity.
