Manama, July 23 (BNA): Minister of Health, Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, praised the royal patronage that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa enjoys during the Ashura season.
And she praised the support of the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the success of the season and the provision of all requirements.
In a statement today, the minister affirmed the health sector’s commitment to meeting all requirements in order to protect people’s safety.
This came in the statement of Dr. Hassan, at the opening of the Imam Hussein Medical Clinic in the Capital Governorate, on the occasion of Ashura for the year 1445 AH.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the Governor of the Capital, Sheikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, CEO of Primary Health Care Centers, Dr. Lolwa Schwiter, Head of the Jaafari Endowments, Yousef bin Saleh Al-Saleh, and a number of officials.
The minister made an inventory of medical equipment and sanitary preparations in the clinic, and praised the continuous efforts to provide the best services to those participating in the Ashura rituals.
The Governor of the Capital, Sheikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, CEO of Primary Health Care Centers, Dr. Lolwa Schwiter, praised the efforts made by those in charge of the clinic to provide the required services and deal with emergency cases in various locations in Manama.
He highlighted the community partnership between government agencies and civil society institutions to protect public health and maintain people’s safety.
Shwetar affirmed the readiness of the medical teams responsible for the clinic to receive visitors during the Ashura season, stressing coordination with the emergency and accident department at the Salmaniya Medical Complex.
