Bahrain’s efforts to support gender balance praised

Manama, June 21 (BNA): The World Economic Forum today issued the Gender Gap Report, which focuses on analyzing the performance of countries in this sector.

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women, Hala Al-Ansari, stressed the importance of the report, which highlighted Bahrain’s success in promoting equal opportunities.

She said, “Bahrain’s performance in the report related to bridging the gender parity gap reflects the significant impact of the state’s policies aimed at sustaining the progress of Bahraini women and raising their level of competitiveness compared to their counterparts around the world.” .

She praised the national efforts led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, to promote equal opportunities.

She praised the far-sighted vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, noting the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Al Ansari highlighted Bahrain’s success in promoting initiatives and programmes, noting in particular the launch of the National Gender Balance Model that focuses on integrating women’s needs into national development.
