Foreign Minister attends 3rd Bahrain-US Strategic Dialogue

Washington, July 20 (BNA): An important meeting was held today in Washington within the framework of the third strategic dialogue between the United States of America.

Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani chaired the session with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

In his speech to the meeting, Dr. Al-Zayani stressed the importance of joint work between the two countries to address regional and international issues ranging from security to economic prosperity.

He stressed the need to promote peaceful coexistence and combat extremism, affirming the commitment of the two countries to expand cooperation for the future.

Blikin described the Kingdom of Bahrain as an old ally and partner of the United States, pointing to the importance of the strategic dialogue, which reflects common relations and the common desire for more deep cooperation.

He said that the two countries stand together for the security of the Gulf and work together to face regional challenges.

He highlighted joint cooperation within the framework of the Negev Forum, looking forward to continuing this process that can, in a very practical way, deepen and strengthen integration throughout the region, and be a strong source of security, stability and prosperity for all the peoples of the region.

The two sides reviewed the historical friendship and strategic partnership between the two friendly countries, and ways to develop joint cooperation in all fields that serve common interests and contribute to maintaining security and stability in the region.

They discussed political, economic, security and cultural cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop it for the benefit of the two friendly countries and peoples.
