President Ilham Aliyev attends Shusha Global Media Forum opening

Baku, July 22 (BNA): The opening ceremony of the Shusha Global Media Forum on “New Media in the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution” was held.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the forum, where he delivered a speech and answered questions.

The Global Media Forum on “New Media in the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution”, under the guidance of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, gathered 150 participants from 49 countries including state news agencies of 34 countries and 12 international and media organizations. 60 heads and representatives of local media are participating in the forum.

The forum is scheduled to discuss critical issues of global importance in the fields of media and information communication. The world’s leading media leaders and experts will deliberate on new tools for journalism and communications in the digital age, digital transformation, media management and sustainable media business models, consumer trends and media literacy in new media, ways to combat disinformation and fake news, safety of journalists and other issues.

The Forum will also present the NAM Media Platform initiative.
