Bahrain hosts GASERC 36 board of trustees meeting

Manama, July 13 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain hosted the 36th meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Gulf Educational Research Center (GASERC), chaired by Dr. Mohammed Al-Shreika, Director of the Center.


Dr. Intisar Al-Banna, representative of the Ministry of Education in Bahrain, participated in the meeting.

Dr. Al-Shreika expressed his gratitude for the Kingdom’s hospitality and welcomed all members of the Board of Directors, thanking them for their continuous support.


He thanked the Member States for their cooperation with the Center and their participation in its various activities and events.


The meeting’s agenda included following up on the implementation of the recommendations of the thirty-fifth session of the Council and reviewing a report on the progress of work in implementing the Center’s programs for the financial cycle 2023 and 2024.


An international educational conference was held, in which educational officials and experts in the member states of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States participated, along with educational experts from all over the world. Training meetings, seminars and workshops were also held.


The Council reviewed a report on the latest publications issued by the Center between the thirty-fifth and thirty-sixth sessions of the Council.


The members of the Board of Directors presented their proposals regarding enriching the center’s programs, developing its implementation mechanism, and maximizing the benefit from its outputs and the experiences and competencies of member states in the field of research and educational work.

At the end of the meeting, the members of the Board of Directors stressed the importance of the programs implemented by GASERC in supporting efforts to develop education in the member states.


They expressed their appreciation for the efforts made by the center in implementing these programs, and for the role it plays in serving the education development process in the member states of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, and in promoting joint educational work. among them.
