Bahrain to host first Gulf Healthcare and Sport Congress in November

Manama, July 8 (BNA): Bahrain will host the first Gulf Healthcare and Sports Conference (GHSC), scheduled to be held on November 9 and 10.


His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, is patronizing the two-day event and is being organized by the University of Bahrain (UoB), in collaboration with EducationPlus.


The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Fouad Mohammed Al-Ansari, expressed his deep pride in the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad, indicating that His Highness’s support will contribute to achieving the goals set by the Organizing Committee.


He stressed that the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Isa Al Khalifa embodies his continuous support for the health and sports sectors in the Kingdom within the framework of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman. Dr. Al-Ansari indicated that the First Gulf Conference on Health Care and Sports will attract a group of experts, consultants and academics from various countries, noting that the GHSC will shed light on the Kingdom’s achievements in the fields of health and sports.


The College of Health and Sports Sciences at the University of Bahrain, which is hosting the event, will form the necessary committee and will disclose the details of the GHSC.
