Bahrain to host WOAH sub-regional workshop

Manama, July 2 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain is preparing to host a sub-regional workshop organized by the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) – Middle East on the impact of veterinary services evaluation methodology on supporting the public and private sectors. Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak announced this July 11-13.


He pointed out that the workshop aims to build sound foundations for a fruitful partnership between the public and private sectors in the veterinary field, linked to the specific priorities of the country or the entire region.


He stressed the importance of the workshop in strengthening cooperation between Bahrain and the World Health Organization to serve programs and activities related to livestock and animal health, stressing Bahrain’s readiness to support the programs of the WHO sub-regional office for the Gulf states.
