9 government-owned land plots offered for investors

Manama, June 14 (BNA): Maryam Adnan Al-Ansari, Assistant Undersecretary for Projects at the Prime Minister’s Office and Chairman of the Government Land Investment Committee, highlighted the role of the government land investment platform in continuing to provide more opportunities for investors to contribute. Developing vital sectors and achieving economic growth.

The platform is in line with the objectives of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Al-Ansari said that the platform launched nine new investment opportunities in four different regions in Bahrain, namely Hamala, Buri, Buhair and Madinat Salman. He pointed out that the step aims to ensure optimal investment in government lands available for investment in various vital sectors.

Al-Ansari explained that the Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah) presented four plots of agricultural investment lands in Hamala, the first with an area of ​​49,717.9 square meters, and the second with 14,396.7 square meters, in addition to two plots with an area of ​​10,084.7 square meters each.

She added that the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture also put forward a number of investment vouchers in the field of agricultural and food security, including three plots of land in Buri with areas of 11,916.8 square meters, 7,439.8 square meters, and 10,419.5 square meters. An investment land with an area of ​​22,361 sqm in Al Buhair, intended for the construction of a boulevard that includes cafes, restaurants, and a walkway.

Al-Ansari affirmed the government’s keenness to support all initiatives that enhance food security, in line with the directives of His Majesty the King to develop plans and projects that preserve the environment and contribute to achieving the goals of food and water security.

She said that the Housing Bank offered one investment plot of land for the educational sector with an area of ​​2,694 square meters in the city of Salman to build a nursery.

Al-Ansari said that bidding on allotted plots of land can be done through the “Available Lands” section of the website of the government land investment platform through the link: https://investmentland.gov.bh.

She added that the bidders can then choose the investment property of their choice and click on the link on the page, which will take them to the electronic bidding system of the Tender Board to submit their requests.
