Foreign Minister participates in GCC Ministerial Meeting

Riyadh, June 11 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, participated in the GCC Ministerial Council meeting No. 156, which was held today at the headquarters of the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting was chaired by the Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Chairman of the current session of the Ministerial Council. The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi, also attended.

The meeting highlighted the topics on its agenda, including the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council and the Ministerial Council, the recommendations submitted by the specialized ministerial committees in the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, and the reports prepared by the General Secretariat on issues related to the affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council. The Ministerial Council discussed regional and international developments and ways to enhance Gulf cooperation to serve the interests of member states and maintain regional security and stability.
