Manama, Jan. 16 (BNA): Bahrain All Share Index closed at 1,986.00 points, marking an increase of 0.49 points above the previous closing.
This increase was due to the rise in the communication services sector and the financial sector.
Bahrain lslamic Index closed at 743.05 points, marking an increase of 2.21 points above the previous closing.
Results indicated that 74 equity transactions took place with a volume of 1,914,250 worth BD 1,475,467.
Investors traded mainly in the material sector, representing 87.70% of the total value of securities traded.
