Manama, June 18 (BNA): The Public Prosecutor, Dr. Ali bin Fadl Al-Buainain, stressed the pivotal role of the Public Prosecution in implementing the national strategy to combat human trafficking and its contribution with the concerned authorities and authorities in curbing this. scourge.

He referred to the tasks carried out by the Anti-Human Trafficking Prosecution to protect victims and witnesses and guarantee their legal rights.

“Over the past six months, the Public Prosecution office has started investigations and 14 cases, of which seven have been referred to the competent court,” said Dr. Al-Buainain.

He praised the effective role of the security and executive agencies, which contributed to enhancing Bahrain’s success in maintaining the “Level 1” status for the sixth year in a row in the US State Department’s report on human trafficking for the year 2023, which is the highest.
