U.S. job market indicators retreat to their lowest levels since 2021

Washington, Aug. 2 (BNA):  A decline in the number of job vacancies in the United States to 9.6 million during the past June, marking the lowest level since April 2021. This indicates a decrease in demand for workers in the flexible job market.

Data from the U.S. Department of Labor showed that the job hiring has declined to its lowest levels since February 2021, and layoffs also decreased to their lowest levels since the end of the previous year.

According to Bloomberg News Agency, these numbers are supported by weekly data on the number of unemployment benefit claims in the United States, which showed a notable moderation in recent months, maintaining unemployment rates at extremely low levels.
