New opportunities for Bahraini citizens with Down Syndrome

Manama, June 11 (BNA) Kuwait Finance House signed an agreement with the Bahraini Down Syndrome Society to train, develop skills and employ Bahraini citizens with Down syndrome and integrate them into the labor market.

The agreement comes within the framework of the Bank’s commitment to community integration and sustainable development.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Head of Human Resources at KFH-Bahrain Sarah Zain Al-Abidin, the Director of the Down Syndrome Care Center Ahmed Al-Ali and representatives from both entities.

“This collaboration comes as part of our commitment to community integration and social sustainability,” Sarah said.

He added, “Through this cooperation, we aspire to provide job and training opportunities for Bahraini youth with Down syndrome, and to involve all segments of society in achieving sustainable quality growth in line with the Kingdom’s national development strategy.”

Sarah praised the dedicated efforts made by the Bahrain Down Syndrome Society in order to provide the best services to Bahraini citizens with Down Syndrome, and to ensure that they are equipped with the appropriate skills to succeed as active members of society.

Al-Ali said: “We greatly appreciate the joining of KFH-Bahrain to our initiatives to employ Bahrainis with Down syndrome in various sectors within the Kingdom.”

This will contribute to opening unique opportunities for our sons and daughters with Down syndrome, and to develop their knowledge and professional skills:

He added that this cooperation comes with the aim of effective implementation of the comprehensive integration policy and a firm belief that members of this integrated segment of society have the right to obtain employment opportunities in a just and comprehensive manner.

The Bahrain Down Syndrome Society, which was established in 1998, is a civil and humanitarian association concerned with the care of children born with Down Syndrome through the Down Syndrome Care Center, which was established in 2001 with the aim of providing them with the necessary services.
