National Guard Commander receives Pakistan’s JCSCC Chairman

Manama, May 21 (BNA): His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard, met with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan, and his accompanying delegation, who is currently on an official visit to the city of Manama. Upon his arrival, Major General Saher Shamshad Mirza was received by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa. Then the national anthems of Bahrain and Pakistan were played.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stressed the importance of exchanging visits in strengthening and developing military relations between Bahrain and Pakistan.

The meeting reviewed issues of common interest, and reviewed aspects of cooperation in all fields, especially the military field.

The commander of the National Guard praised the role of the Pakistani army in supporting regional and global security and stability.

The JCSCC Chairman was briefed on the role, strategies and duties of the National Guard.

He also visited the National Guard Museum of Old Weapons where he wrote a note in the Book of Significant Visitors.

He expressed his gratitude to His Highness Major General Sheikh Mohammed for his interest in enhancing cooperation between the National Guard and the Pakistan Army.
