Nasser bin Hamad praises NVTC role in honing competencies

Manama, May 25 (BNA): His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nasser Center for Vocational Training, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, praised the steps taken by the National Institution for Vocational Training, specializations of quality, to enhance technical education. He stressed the keenness to transform Bahrain into a pioneering model in education and to feed the industrial and economic sectors with advanced educational and professional outputs. He referred to the center’s vision of transforming into an artistic city that injects promising competencies into the labor market to enhance the Kingdom’s position on the map of industrial and technological progress.

This came during the second meeting of the NVTC Board of Trustees in 2023, which was held in the presence of the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed, the CEO, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Nuaimi, and members.

The meeting highlighted the issues on its agenda, including the final financial report for 2022. The council also directed the formation of supervisory committees for the effective implementation of the governance system, in line with the current development process of the center.

The council also discussed the steps taken by the center to diversify advanced educational disciplines and tracks, including the ongoing work to open the Center’s Cyber ​​Security Sciences Academy. This step comes in line with the directives of His Highness the Chairman of the Board of Trustees to enhance students’ skills in dealing with digital security and safety risks, and to keep abreast of the latest scientific trends in this regard.

The meeting also highlighted the ongoing preparations for organizing the graduation ceremony of the seventh batch of students, which will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
