Health Ministry to provide all kinds of support to Bahraini pilgrims

Manama, May 25 (BNA): Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Waleed Khalifa Al-Mana, affirmed the ministry’s keenness to harness all its capabilities to provide the best health and treatment services to pilgrims in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Including citizens and residents before leaving the holy sites.

He said that the services include preventive vaccinations and awareness programs before the Hajj season.

He explained that these measures come in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and in line with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Dr. Al-Manea was speaking during his participation in a workshop for administrators, paramedics and chefs for the official Hajj campaigns for this year under the slogan “We care about your health… Complete your Hajj” organized by the Ministry of Health.

The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Adnan Al-Qattan, Head of the Bahraini Hajj Mission, and Khalid Al-Maloud, Secretary-General of the Bahraini Hajj Mission.

The Undersecretary explained that the Ministry formed a medical committee within the Bahraini Hajj mission, to provide health care and treatment services needed by pilgrims in various holy places, noting that the committee had won praise for their efforts in the previous Hajj season.

He appreciated the efforts and support of the Head of Mission and all the officials who made this possible.

Dr. Al-Manea stressed that the workshop aimed to raise the efficiency of medical personnel in the Hajj campaigns, and to enable them to perform their duties to the fullest, as well as to emphasize the continuous cooperation between the medical committee of the Bahraini Hajj mission. Campaigns of medical personnel in Hajj to dedicate all capabilities to maintain the health and safety of pilgrims so that they can perform the rituals of Hajj and return home safely.

The head of the Coordinating and Medical Committee of the Bahraini Medical Hajj Mission, Dr. Ibrahim Obaid, affirmed the support of the Ministry of Health, stressing the Ministry of Health’s support for the health and treatment services provided by the committee to Bahraini pilgrims before their departure and until their safety. homecoming.

The workshop included lectures by the medical staff in campaigns on how to deal with cases of low blood sugar, diabetic foot, high blood pressure and heart attacks. How to store medicines and insulin needles during Hajj. Infectious diseases and vaccinations and their importance in the Hajj season. And how to deal with cases of heat exhaustion, heat stroke and joint pain during Hajj, in addition to the safety of food during Hajj in terms of preservation, preparation and transportation.
