Nasser bin Hamad: Bahrain has rich democratic experience

Discussions also focused on issues of common interest.

Riyadh, December 13 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain has been elected as a member of the Executive Office for Emergency Affairs of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) for the years 2022 and 2023.

The Kingdom was elected to this position during the 41st session of the Federation’s General Assembly and the 106th meeting of its Executive Council hosted by the Saudi Radio and Television Commission under the auspices of the Acting Minister of Information, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi. .

On this occasion, the Assistant Undersecretary for Radio and Television, Abdullah Khalid Al-Dosari, said that the Kingdom’s election to this position reflects the great Arab confidence in the Bahraini media and its appreciation for its advanced capabilities and supportive approach. Arab cooperation at all levels, based on the wise visions and directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to support all efforts aimed at strengthening joint Arab cooperation through a media message calling for rapprochement, love and peace, as well as based on directives. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister for Media Development in the Kingdom.

Al-Dosari praised the outstanding organization of the event by the Saudi Agency for Charitable Works, praising all the efforts made to make it a success.

ASBU’s Executive Office of Emergency Affairs is composed of six members for two-year terms, as follows:

• President/President of ASBU

• Senior Vice President of ASBU / Member

• Second Vice President of ASBU / Member

• An active member from among the members of the Executive Council / member

• Affiliate member from among the two associate members of the Executive Council / member

• General Manager / Member

The Executive Office for Emergency Affairs (EOEA) meets at the invitation of its President and requested by the Director-General. All decisions and measures taken by the EOEA are submitted to the Executive Board for approval.
