Napoli, May 7 (U.S.): Napoli fans chanted “we, we, we are the Italian champions” as the south side celebrated winning the league title at Diego Armando Maradona’s stadium.
Players joyfully joined the crowd after beating Fiorentina 1-0 on Sunday in Napoli’s first home game since ending their 31-year wait for the Scudetto with a 1-1 draw at Udinese on Thursday, according to the Associated Press.
The team marched around every corner of the stadium, dancing and singing, wearing Neapolitan scarves and waving flags. They also took turns giving Hirving Lozano on the back as the Napoli winger injured himself during the match.
This began another night of celebrations at the stadium – directed by Italian director Paolo Sorrentino – accompanied by Neapolitan musicians.
