Manama, May 7 (BNA): A group of 123 Bahraini citizens and residents were safely evacuated due to the instability in the Republic of Sudan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the evacuation comes after the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Embassy of Bahrain in Khartoum coordinated with other brotherly countries to transport citizens and residents safely away from hotbeds of tension to Port Sudan, before evacuating them to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Ministry expressed its thanks and gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for their cooperation to ensure the safe evacuation.
He urged all citizens and residents of the Republic of Sudan to communicate with the Embassy of Bahrain in Khartoum and update their personal data in order to arrange their safe evacuation.
