Muslim Council of Elders congratulates King of Bahrain for success of Bahrain Dialogue Forum

Manama, November 7 (BNA) The Muslim Council of Elders congratulates His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the success of the recently concluded Bahrain Dialogue Forum and on the positive reception it received. The historic joint visit of His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Imam of Al-Azhar, Chairman of the Council of Muslim Elders, and His Holiness Pope Francis, Pope of the Catholic Church.


The Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Judge Muhammad Abd al-Salam, said: The Kingdom of Bahrain is a symbol of how dialogue and coexistence can be achieved between people of different religions and sects. An Islamic dialogue has been issued to achieve Islamic unity, and this comes with the continuation of Islamic-Christian dialogue through the “Dialogue between East and West” initiative, which aims to spread coexistence among all mankind.


Judge Abdul Salam praised the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in supporting and promoting coexistence, and His Majesty’s willingness to provide the necessary resources for the success of the Bahrain Dialogue Forum.


The Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders reiterated the Council’s numerous projects and initiatives that will build on the results of the Bahrain Dialogue Forum. He stressed that the fruits reaping by humanity are increasing after the historic signing of the Human Fraternity Document in 2019 by His Eminence Al-Azhar Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Imam of Al-Azhar, Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. His Holiness Pope Francis, Supreme Pontiff of the Catholic Church, who was the initial inspiration for the Bahrain Dialogue Forum.
