Manama, Dec. 17 (BNA): The Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, received the Regional Director of Rotary Clubs, George Azar.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the field of mangrove cultivation.
The minister stressed the existing partnership with civil society organizations and non-governmental organizations to promote agriculture and raise awareness of its environmental and food importance.
He praised the Rotary Club of Bahrain for planting mangroves and contributing to preserving the marine environment.
Azar affirmed his keenness to participate in the project of planting mangroves in Bahrain, within the framework of the club’s support for such environmental projects in the field of charitable and humanitarian work.
He expressed their readiness to cooperate with the ministry in all common fields, especially the project of planting mangroves.
