Mumtalakat CEO stresses role as contributor to national economy at Bahrain British Business Forum meeting

Manama, September 26 (BNA) The Bahrain-British Business Forum (BBBF) held its webinar yesterday, which was attended by members of the forum, guest of honor Khalid Al-Rumaihi, CEO of Mumtalakat, and British Ambassador to Bahrain Rudy Drummond. .

His Excellency Khalid Al-Rumaihi gave the keynote speech at the event, which detailed Mumtalakat’s new investment strategy and highlighted its contribution to the national economy. He emphasized that through its local investment portfolio, which includes majority stakes in strategic Bahraini companies, this contribution represents 18% of the Kingdom’s GDP and supports more than 12,000 jobs in Bahrain.

On behalf of the Forum, BBBF President Khaled Al Zayani OBE expressed his sincere appreciation to His Excellency Khaled Al Rumaihi for sharing his vision during the outreach meeting.

Mumtalakat’s portfolio consists of more than 50 companies including some of the Kingdom’s leading companies such as Gulf Air, Alba, Batelco and National Bank of Bahrain. In addition, the fund includes international direct investments and co-investments managed by leading international funds.
