Minister stresses Bahrain’s commitment to protecting endangered species

Manama, Feb. 20 (BNA): Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak bin Dinah, the team that participated in the release of dolphins in their natural habitat.

He pointed out that concerted efforts between institutions and individuals were the main reason for the success of the mission to return the three dolphins to their natural habitat.

He praised the role of the team and its cooperation with other parties since the issuance of the judicial ruling until the completion of the process.

He pointed out that “the Supreme Council for the Environment pays great attention to protecting endangered species in compliance with international treaties and agreements signed by the Kingdom of Bahrain.”

The dolphins, which were caught in April 2021, have been released to their natural habitat in implementation of a court ruling.
