MBMA Director General participates in World Government Summit 2022

Dubai, March 29 (BNA) The Director General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, Dr. Sheikha Munira bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, participated in the World Government Summit.


The summit was held in Dubai under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.

Dr. Sheikha Munira participated in the “Women in Government Work” forum, where she referred to the achievements and contributions of Bahraini women in decision-making, executive and diplomatic positions, and the development process in the Kingdom, given the support of His Majesty the King. King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

She highlighted the most prominent challenges facing women in government work, especially in the diplomatic field, stressing the importance of developing long-term plans and finding innovative solutions to empower and support women to reach leadership positions in a sustainable manner.

The Director-General praised the continuous efforts of the Supreme Council for Women headed by Her Royal Highness, the wife of His Majesty the King, Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, and its distinguished contributions in supporting the advancement of women and enhancing their role in this field. Government work, and integrating them into comprehensive and sustainable development plans in line with the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women (2013-2022).
