LMRA reports 32 violations in a construction site in Southern Governorate

Manama, October 26 (BNA): The Labor Market Regulatory Authority has taken legal measures against 32 individuals for violating the provisions of the Labor Market Law at a construction site in the Southern Governorate, after receiving a notification through the comments and complaints of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority. The authority formed a joint inspection unit in cooperation with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs of the Ministry of Interior and the Southern Governorate Police Directorate to visit the facility as part of an inspection campaign in accordance with established procedures.


The Labor Market Regulatory Authority stressed its commitment to continue strengthening the law against violators by intensifying inspection campaigns on commercial establishments, work sites and labor gathering sites, with the aim of combating illegal labor practices, while preserving the rights of employers and expatriate employees.


It highlighted the active participation of citizens and residents by reporting any violations related to the labor market using the direct communication channels dedicated to this matter.


It renewed its call on all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing these illegal practices, by filling out the electronic form on the official website of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority or calling the authority’s call center on 17506055.
