The delegation was briefed on the latest developments in the labor market, the role of the authority in providing a safe and stable environment, and the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain to combat human trafficking and protect workers from exploitation in line with international treaties and agreements related to respecting workers’ rights. The delegation was briefed on the objectives and role of the Association for the Protection of Migrant Workers, which is the first comprehensive and specialized institution in the Middle East.

Labor Market Regulatory Authority officials identified legal mechanisms and executive steps aimed at strengthening Bahrain’s efforts to combat human trafficking and preserve the rights of labor parties.

They highlighted the implementation of the wage protection system, the optional insurance system for domestic workers, in addition to the registration of targeted employment in partnership with the private sector, in addition to the intensification of inspection campaigns to confront any illegal practices in the labor market. .
