LMRA, NPRA, Southern Police Directorate step up inspection campaigns

Manama, October 15 (BNA) The Labor Market Regulatory Authority arrested a number of illegal workers in the southern governorate who were found to be violating labor market regulations and the residency law.

The authority implemented the joint inspection campaign in the Southern Governorate in cooperation with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs of the Ministry of Interior and the Southern Governorate Police Directorate.

The authority works in partnership with the Ministry of Interior and various government agencies to intensify efforts and procedures that enhance the activation of regulatory tools in order to achieve stability, justice, flexibility and competitiveness in the labor market and contribute to the elimination of illegal practices by tightening control over violations committed by employers and expatriate workers.

The Labor Market Regulatory Authority renewed its call to all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies to address illegal practices in the labor market and illegal workers to protect society as a whole, calling on the public to report any complaints related to violations.
