Manama, Feb. 16 (BNA): The Labor Market Regulatory Authority carried out joint inspection campaigns in the Muharraq Governorate and the Northern Governorate, which included a number of shops and work sites, as part of its continuous efforts to intensify inspection visits. The Labor Market Regulatory Authority implemented a joint inspection campaign in the Muharraq Governorate, in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and the Police Directorate in the governorate.
The other two campaigns were implemented in the Northern Governorate in coordination with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Criminal Evidence at the Ministry of Interior.
The campaigns resulted in reports of violations of labor market and residency laws. Cases have been referred for legal action.
The Labor Market Regulatory Authority has renewed its call to all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labor practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.bh or by calling the authority’s call center. at 17506055.
