Manama, Jan. 11 (BNA): The Labor Market Regulatory Authority carried out two inspection campaigns on a number of shops, work sites and places where workers gather.
The Labor Market Regulatory Authority indicated that a joint inspection campaign was conducted in the Capital Governorate in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and the Governorate Police Directorate, and an inspection campaign in the Muharraq governorates was carried out by the implementation sector of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority.
The campaigns resulted in the reporting of many violations related to the labor market and residency laws. The reported cases were referred for legal action.
The Labor Market Regulatory Authority affirmed its commitment to reporting violations through an extensive inspection plan, in coordination with the relevant government agencies. And she renewed her call to all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labor practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.bh or calling the authority’s call center at 17506055.
