LMRA conducts four inspection campaigns

Manama, Jan. 12 (BNA): The Labor Market Regulatory Authority and the Ministry of Interior continue to make joint efforts to intensify inspection campaigns against illegal practices in the labor market, in order to maintain a competitive, fair and stable labor market.

The Labor Market Regulatory Authority carried out joint inspection campaigns in the Capital Governorate in coordination with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Criminal Evidence and the Governorate Police Directorate, in addition to another campaign in the Southern Governorate in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs. Governorate Police Directorate.

The Labor Market Regulatory Authority also carried out two inspection campaigns in the Northern Governorate. The first campaign was implemented in coordination with the General Directorate for Crime Detection and Criminal Evidence and the General Directorate for Enforcement of Sentences and Issuance of Alternative Sentences, and the enforcement sector of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority conducted the other campaign.

The campaigns resulted in reports of violations of labor market and residency laws. The reported cases were referred for legal action.

The Labor Market Regulatory Authority affirmed its commitment to reporting violations through an extensive inspection plan, in coordination with the relevant government agencies. And she renewed her call to all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labor practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.bh or calling the authority’s call center at 17506055.
