Late Rodrigo penalty earns Leeds 1-1 draw with Wolves in EPL

London, October 23 (BNA) Spanish striker Rodrigo scored a penalty kick in the fourth minute of stoppage time to give Leeds a 1-1 draw against Wolves in the English Premier League on Saturday.

After South Korea striker Hwang Hee-chan’s fourth goal in six league matches since his loan move from RB Leipzig, Leeds also lost key player Ravenha to injury early in the second half but finished off the game hard and earned a penalty when substitute Joe Gilhardt was pushed back.

Rodrygo sent Wolverhampton goalkeeper Jose Sa the wrong way from the penalty spot as Leeds avoided their fifth loss in nine league games.

Hwang turned from close range in the 10th minute to continue his strong start in English football and set Wolverhampton on their way to a fourth successive league win.

Leeds dominated the last 25 minutes without their best player and rewarded with a brilliant display from Gilhardt, the highly-rated 19-year-old striker whose numerous dribbles have disrupted Wolverhampton’s defense.

Someone saw him by Nelson Semedo and Rodrygo took the penalty, before the corner flag broke with a celebratory kick.
