Manama, March 22 (BNA) Emerging talent Sofia Badr was crowned in the Women’s Open Tennis Championships. She beat Marwa Abdullah 6/2 and 6/2 in the final match in the junior category.
The Bahrain Table Tennis Association held the competition, which started on March 15 and concluded today.
In the middle category, Kuwaiti Farah Al-Haqan defeated Salma Fares 6/0 and 6/2 in the final match.
In the advanced category, Hana Grace grabbed the cup after defeating Sarah Behbehani 6/0, 6/1 in the final match.
The finals were attended by a member of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, President of the Women’s Sports Committee and President of the Bahrain Table Tennis Federation, Sheikh Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, and crowned the winners.
