Labour Minister receives US Ambassador

Manama, September 9 (BNA) The Minister of Labor and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, received the US Ambassador to Bahrain Stephen C. Bundy, with whom he discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries. Strengthening the existing cooperation relations between the two friendly countries, especially in the fields of work.

The minister reviewed the projects and initiatives implemented by the Kingdom as part of its economic recovery plan to stabilize the labor market and create more job opportunities.

He also highlighted the ongoing procedures to ensure a healthy and adequate work environment for the national and expatriate workforce alike, in addition to the Kingdom’s efforts in promoting workers’ rights, in line with international labor standards, as well as eliminating all forms of discrimination and discrimination. Trafficking in persons.

The US ambassador praised Bahrain’s success in maintaining its first position in the US State Department’s 2022 report on human trafficking for the fifth year in a row, which reflects the remarkable successive achievements made by Bahrain with regard to its pioneering experience in the labor market.

He stressed his country’s keenness to develop its long-term relations and cooperation with the Kingdom.
