Labour Minister praises private sector’s plans to train, employ Bahrainis

Manama, Dec. 19 (BNA): Labor Minister Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan met with Dr. Ravi Pillay, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nasser Saeed Al-Hajri Corporation, during the minister’s visit to the company that is developing the refinery. Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) project.


The minister was briefed on the company’s policies in the field of training and employment of Bahrainis, as the company employed 443 Bahrainis last year.


Humaidan was also briefed on the security and safety measures in place to protect workers at the company’s work sites, and its success in reaching 50 million working hours without occupational accidents or injuries in 2022.


Humaidan praised the company’s plans to employ and train more Bahrainis and its keenness to provide a suitable work environment that stimulates productivity.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors praised the facilities provided by the Ministry to various private sector institutions, stressing the success of the company’s experience in investing in Bahraini human resources.
