Labour Minister patronises ASRY celebration marking Labour Day

Manama, May 6 (BNA): As part of Bahrain’s celebration of International Workers’ Day, the Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Trade Union (ASRY) organized yesterday a celebration on this occasion. It was held under the auspices of the Minister of Labor, Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, and was attended by the Director of Human Resources and Development of ASRY, Sheikh Daij bin Muhammad bin Daij Al Khalifa, the head of the union, Youssef Al-Maghawi, and workers from the company.

In a statement on the occasion, the Minister of Labor praised ASRY as one of the national companies that play a prominent role in supporting the national economy and employing Bahraini workers. He stressed the importance of strengthening tripartite dialogue between production agencies to ensure the stability and growth of companies. He stressed that the Ministry of Labor takes advantage of Labor Day to reaffirm the importance of work values ​​and the protection of the rights of aspects of production within a safe work environment governed by the labor law.

Workers who have served 30 years in ASRY were honored at the ceremony.
